At GSSNE, we believe it is important to consistently showcase strong, influential women and set positive examples for today's girls.  By sharing the successes and pathways these female leaders have taken to get where they are today, girls are able to see firsthand that their dreams and aspirations are attainable.

We are pleased to announce this year's Leading Women of Distinction honorees:

• Sara DeCosta-Hayes, Owner of RI Sting Girls Hockey, Olympic Gold & Silver Medalist
• Marie Ghazal, CEO of Rhode Island Free Clinic
• Pamela Harrop MD, President, Medical Associates of Rhode Island
• Hilary Levey Friedman, PhD, Professor at Brown University & President of RI NOW
• Eva-Marie Mancuso, Managing Partner of Hamel Waxler, Allen and Collins Law Offices, Founder Clothes for Kids
• Jennifer Pereira, VP of Grant Programs at Rhode Island Foundation

These women are a direct reflection of what Girl Scouting stands for, they are impressive and inspiring.  We hope that all girls are able to thrive in the direction of their ambitions and lead lives full of courage, confidence and character.
